The Results You Desire With CoolSculpting Elite
We use CoolSculpting Elite, a more advanced, updated form of CoolSculpting. This system has a few key differences when compared to traditional CoolSculpting:
- Applicators that are 18% larger, so more fat can be treated in a single session
- C-shaped applicators that better fit the body's natural curves
- Dual applicators so we can treat two areas of the body at the same time
- Improved cooling technology that is more consistent and efficient
With this system, our Columbus, La Grange, and Auburn patients can enjoy efficient, more comfortable treatment and faster, more comprehensive results.

Real Patient Results
Patients throughout Columbus, La Grange, and Auburn come to us frustrated with fat deposits that won’t seem to go away, no matter how strict the diet or how committed they are to their exercise routine. CoolSculpting Elite offers our patients a nonsurgical means of slimming their figures and revealing the contours beneath.
How Much Does CoolSculpting Elite Cost?
The cost of your treatment will depend on how many areas you are treating and how many sessions are required. At Columbus Plastic Surgery, we offer competitive industry pricing, and we regularly offer discounts and special offers to help patients afford CoolSculpting Elite.
To make care more affordable for our Columbus, La Grange, and Auburn patients, we also accept financing through various third-party programs, including CareCredit® and Cherry.
How It Works
Rather than relying on removal by scalpel or laser, CoolSculpting Elite uses cryolipolysis, a method of applying controlled cooling to concentrations of excess fat. The device targets fat deposits and crystallizes the cells, causing them to die. In the weeks following treatment, your body naturally processes these cells and eliminates them from your body. Because fat freezes at higher temperatures than other types of cells within the body, the freezing technique reduces the number of fat cells in the treatment area by about 20 to 25 percent. It is important to remember that this is not a weight loss treatment; it is a way to accentuate your figure when a small amount of unresponsive fat stands between you and your goals.

Incredible Results Without Surgery
Painless Procedure
Unlike liposuction and other fat loss treatments, CoolSculpting Elite is performed without a single needle, laser, or incision. In addition to being painless, this non-surgical approach eliminates the risk of scarring and other post-surgical complications.
No Downtime or Recovery
A single session of treatment can generally be completed within one hour. Unlike surgical fat reduction procedures like liposuction, there is zero downtime and you can return to your normal routine immediately afterward.
Long-Lasting Results
CoolSculpting Elite freezes fat cells in common problem areas and causes them to be naturally expelled from the body. As long as you stick to a healthy diet and regular exercise, you can maintain the results of your procedure indefinitely.
An FDA-Approved
Treatment
/
CoolSculpting Elite was developed by ZELTIQ Aesthetics, Inc. and is the only cryolipolysis fat reduction system approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Although side effects such as redness, tingling, or swelling can occur during the procedure, we thoroughly screen every candidate to reduce the risk of these reactions.
Stretched Skin? CoolSculpting
Only Targets Fat Cells
If you have stretched or sagging skin that makes you self-conscious, CoolSculpting Elite may not be the best option for you. Although it can safely and successfully remove fat, it is not designed to tighten or trim excess skin. If stretched or sagging skin is among your concerns, you might be a better candidate for non-surgical laser skin tightening. But if you have large amounts of excess skin, Dr. Jain may recommend a tummy tuck, arm lift, or another type of body contouring surgery.

FAQ About CoolSculpting
What are the common side effects of CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting's cryolipolysis technique of removing unwanted fat has few side effects. The most common include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, or bruising at the treatment site. The area may also feel firm. You may also experience some tenderness, aching, or itching, which typically lasts for about two weeks after treatment.
Is CoolSculpting a weight loss treatment?
No. CoolSculpting Elite is intended for fat loss. While weight loss and fat loss sound similar, they are different. Fat loss with CoolSculpting Elite allows you to sculpt your contours by eliminating unresponsive fat pockets. Ideal candidates are within 30 pounds of their goal weight and live a healthy lifestyle. If you have a significant amount of weight to lose, you should first consult your general doctor, who can provide guidance and recommend nutritionists and other professionals who can help you reach your goals. Once you have reached your goal weight, we can provide CoolSculpting Elite (or liposuction, depending on your goals) to eliminate any unresponsive fat and refine your contours.
How well does CoolSculpting work on abdominal fat?
CoolSculpting Elite targets subcutaneous fat, the soft fat that lies just below the skin and is often found in the abdomen. If you pinch the fat in your stomach region and it is soft and pliable, this is the subcutaneous fat that CoolSculpting Elite can target and eliminate. However, if the fat in your abdomen makes your stomach feel hard and tight, then you have visceral fat. This is a heavier, waxier fat that collects around the organs in the abdominal cavity. To reduce this fat, you will need to make changes in your diet and exercise habits.
